About De La Salle Rwanda

De La Salle Rwanda Sector is part of the worldwide Lasallian family, officially known as the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools. Rooted in Catholic values and inspired by Saint Jean Baptiste De La Salle, we are committed to providing quality, inclusive, and transformative education, with a special concern for the poorest and most vulnerable.

Present in Rwanda since 1953, De La Salle Rwanda accompanies more than 3,500 children and young people through formal and informal education, shaping responsible citizens and future leaders.

What We Do

Our educational ministries focus on holistic education across six key areas

Teacher Training Education

We prepare Rwanda with high-quality primary and preprimary teachers, equipped with strong pedagogical skills and ethical values.

Arts Education

Through specialized arts education, we form young people in Graphic Arts, Ceramics, and Sculpture.

Basic Education

Complete and quality basic education from preprimary to lower secondary level with strong academic foundations.

Informal Education & Social Reintegration

We accompany street children and vulnerable youth, ensuring basic life needs and education access.

Faith-Based Education

We integrate Christian values into daily school life, promoting faith, respect, peace, and responsibility.

Community Development & Youth Formation

We work closely with families and communities to support youth development and social cohesion.
